Storytime

Carly Anne is a busy editor and storyteller with a passion for crafting compelling narratives across TV, film, and advertising. With a sharp editorial eye and a deep understanding of storytelling structure, she seamlessly moves between cutting-edge commercial post-production and impactful long-form content.

Beyond the edit suite, Carly is a writer and content creator who thrives on bringing fresh, engaging ideas to life. Whether developing scripts, producing digital content, or crafting editorial pieces, she blends creativity with a strategic approach to audience engagement.

Her background includes two diplomas in Screen and Media, specializing in live TV and produced story formats. In 2016, Carly was selected for the Union Docs fellowship in New York, where she collaborated with international filmmakers to explore ethical and immersive documentary storytelling.

Carly co-directed and edited The Fort alongside her brother Jess and mother Shaynna, a powerful film that sheds light on the generational impact of domestic abuse. Premiering at Cinefest in Perth, The Fort has since been utilized by workplaces, government organizations, and even the UN as an educational tool for driving change and attitudes in our society around domestic abuse.

With experience spanning major Australian productions and high-end commercial post houses, Carly is now focused on expanding her work as a writer and producer—crafting stories that resonate, inform, and inspire. She is particularly interested in projects that fuse narrative depth with audience engagement, whether through scripted content, branded storytelling, or digital-first formats.

When she's not cutting or creating, Carly can be found decorating, writing, or deep-diving into social media trends—always on the lookout for the next big idea.
